Well it seems that Nanuet will live to play another day. The 10-11 year old softball team defeated South Orangetown last night 10-3 over at the Nanuet Little League. Tony was right about Danielle DiModugno. She was a heck of a pitcher.
They got good offensive performances from Janine Mackey and Jamie Iseman [...]
To piggyback off of Tony…
I just saw Nanuet play in the Tournament of Champions and I agree about Janine Mackey. She’s going to be a good windmiller in the future. I also think that Theresa Blumenfeld will be a good shortstop. She’s got good range at the position and a pretty good [...]
“At this point, it’s about trying to win the game and move on,” Pearl River coach Mike Carlacci said on Monday after the regional semifinal win and the Pirates do move on. The Pirates win the Class A regional final today at North Rockland High School by defeating Section 4’s Maine-Endwell 4-0. This is [...]
There’s not a lot more you can say of the pitching performance this post-season by Katie Scrima. In five innings of work, she allowed three-hits, a walk, and struck out 14 as Pearl River wins the Class A regional semifinal defeating Goshen 4-0.
In relief, Kaitlin Dinet came into the game in the sixth inning and [...]
Congratulations to Albertus Magnus who successfully defended their Class B title winning 6-1.
Maura Power pitches her second no-hitter of the post-season allowing a run, four walks and eight strike outs.
Erin Flaherty had a tremendous game going 3 for 3 with a double, a walk, an RBI single in the fourth, and a two-run home run [...]

Well, I’m going to make my predictions on Class A and B since there are only two Rockland teams left standing in the tournament. [...]
Top-seeded Albertus Magnus defeated fourth-seeded North Salem 11-5 in the Class B semfinal game.
The Falcons scored eight of the 11 runs in the first three innings. They got production up and down the line up and are producing at the right time as they gear up to defend their Class B title against the [...]
And one Cinderella story goes down at the No. 3 seeded Eastchester defeated No. 11 Rye 4-0 in the Class A quarterfinals.
Janine Lalli pitched a great game allowing five hits, two walks and struck out 11 on 115 pitches. She also had an RBI single, scored a run and stole two bases.
Alexandra Fusco’s lead-off double [...]
Playing back to back games is hard but playing two games in less than 24 hours is extremely hard so I give a lot of credit to both Pearl River and Suffern getting up for this game that began at 11 a.m.
After the Pirates lost in extra innings to Arlington for their second loss of [...]
