New Rochelle softball coach Tim Collins wanted me to make you aware of what’s coming up:
“On Saturday May 18th beginning at noon, New Rochelle will host Suffern in the 11th annual Amanda Archer-Jodie Torigian softball scholarship game. This game is played in memory of Amanda Archer and Jodie Torigian, who both played for New Rochelle. The scholarship is given to 2 seniors who have played for the Huguenots and have demonstrated sportsmanship, dedication, leadership, and high academic standards.
“If you can’t attend the game and you want to make a donation, make the check payable to:

Coach Collins also told me that this game against the Mounties will be the third annual Pink Game for Cancer Research. So please come out to New Rochelle HS this weekend to not only watch some great softball but give back as well.
