Here’s a look at Thursday’s softball results:
Liana Rizzi grounded into a fielder’s choice to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth and Ursuline held on for a 4-3 win over visiting White Plains Thursday.
Winning pitcher Brittany Mitchell struck out six. Korina Guerra and Angie Rizzi had two hits apiece. Briana Chapman had two RBI for the Tigers.
Suffern 10, North Rockland 9: At Suffern, Sam Iodice (left) opened the last of the seventh with the tying homer over the left-field fence and Sidney Padilla followed with a homer over the center-field fence to win it. It marked the fifth time this season Iodice and Padilla hit back-to-back homers. Iodice also cracked a two-run homer in the fifth. Both Iodice and Padilla had two hits and three RBI. Hayley Napier added two hits and an RBI. Alicia Bertolino had two doubles and two RBI and Tara Sasso drove in two for the Red Raiders.
Ardsley 16, Yonkers 2: At Ardsley, Cassidy Wootten struck out eight in a two-hitter. Jessica Rosenfeld was 4 for 4 with a double, triple and and two RBI. Nicolina Chenard added a homer and Michelle Kornrich had four RBI.
Dobbs Ferry 6, Greeley 4: At Greeley, Lila Walsh went 2 for 4 and drove in three runs for the Eagles. Alexandra Cialini went 3 for 3 and drove in two. Winning pitcher Andrea Abbatiello went 3 for 3 and drove in a run. Leslie Jacobner had two RBI for the Quakers. Jamie Weisser added an RBI double.
Valhalla 5, Rye Neck 3: At Rye Neck, winning pitcher Sydni Holtz struck out six. Leia Scalley homered and Kayle Dymek doubled, tripled and had an RBI. Diana King was 3 for 4 with an RBI for the Panthers.
New Rochelle 17, Mount Vernon 2, 6: At New Rochelle, Alesandra Greco went 3 for 4 with two doubles, a homer and four RBI. Kelly Dillon had a double, homer and three RBI. Teammate Nicole Fortuna allowed one earned run and four hits in six innings, and she had seven strikeouts. The Knights’ Kelly Howell and Cheyenne Douglas had a double and triple, respectively.
Woodlands 20, Palisade Prep 3: At Woodlands, Katie Sims had a double, a triple and three RBI. Nachure Collins added a double and three RBI and Sophia Amendola had a triple and an RBI. Tania Ocampo got the win.
Lincoln 18, Gorton 15: At Gorton, Lincoln’s 18 runs came with just four hits and 19 walks. Jesenia Munoz, Tabitha Rebatta, Nicole Green and Tiffany Alfaro each had two RBI. Karen Martinez went 3 for 5 with a homer, two doubles and four RBI for Gorton.
St. Luke’s 19, Masters 0, 6: At Masters, St. Luke’s Marissa Ruschil threw a perfect game and struck out 11.
Irvington 16, Solomon Schechter 0, 5: At Solomon Schechter, Taylor Clewell had a triple and four RBI. Yara Sayegh had a triple and three RBI. Dylan Clewell also had three RBI. Winning pitcher Sonya Fowler gave up two hits and had a triple. Jessie Espinet had a triple for Solomon Schechter.
Hastings 25, Riverside 10, 5: At Riverside, Kim Malise went 4 for 4 with a homer, a double and six RBI and Ashley Bannon went 3 for 3 with a homer and four RBI. Riverside’s Lizbeth Marmolejos had three RBI.
Sleepy Hollow 15, Pelham 12: At Sleepy Hollow, Taylor Zayas went 3 for 3 with a home run adnt wo RBI for Sleepy Hollow. Jenny Bucci had two triples and three RBI. Ellen Gardon had a double, a triple, and two RBI for the Pelicans.
Arlington B 16-9, Putnam Valley 8-3, 5: At Putnam Valley Wednesday, Victoria Ferraro went 5 for 5 with a pair of doubles and four RBI, but the Tigers were swept in a doubleheader.
Valhalla 6, Nanuet 2: At Nanuet Wednesday, Jenna Saldi had two hits and two RBI. Winning pitcher Sydni Holtz went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Danielle DiModugno had an RBI for the Golden Knights.
Hen Hud 3, Lakeland 2: At Hen Hud Wednesday, Meghan Jahoda had a three-run double in the botttom of the third to give the Sailors the lead. Gabby Caruso was the winner, allowing one earned run and six hits while striking out 11. Alexandra Wright had an RBI triple for the Hornets.
John Jay 5, Mahopac 4: At John Jay Wednesday, winning pitcher Devon Novick had a double and an RBI. Theresa Swertfager had a triple and an RBI. Christina Darna had an RBI for Mahopac.
