Here are the candidates: The reigning state champion in John Jay-East Fishkill; Clarkstown South; Ketcham; Fox Lane; Carmel; North Rockland; or Suffern?

Right now, you have to say that the defending Class AA champs, John Jay East Fishkill is the favorite to win the Class AA Sections this season. R.C. Ketcham has the pitching and offense to win it (provided their defense can hold ground). Clarkstown South also has the offense and pitching to pose a serious threat (again, provided their defense can hold up). I don’t believe that Fox Lane, Carmel, North Rockland or Suffern have enough this year to compete. “Its a Three Horse Race This Year In Class AA”
John Jay all the way. The other horses in the race can’t run nearly as fast. Please no offense to the great players on the other teams. Good luck to them all

Do not underestimate Fox Lane. They have great Upper Class leadership ( The Lombardi’s)and a dynamic eighth grader (Bazos).

No disrespect to Suffern or any other team in your poll,but there is no way Suffern should be mentioned with teams like JJEF,RCK,CS,Fox,Carmel,NR. to win the Section 1 AA title. I agee with Hallie and her “Three Horse Race”.

As good of a season that Fox Lane is having so far, I personally don’t see them winning the Section 1 Class AA Championship. The schedule that they have played so far and the schedule upcoming is just not in the same level as the schedule that teams like John Jay East Fishkill, RC Ketcham, and Clarkstown South are playing. Depending upon the seeding, the Foxes might make it to one of the Semi Final Games, but that’s where it ends.
