My hat goes off to every single player who came out and supported the reinstatement of Coach Lloyd. Each one of them should be commended for their actions, loyalty and maturity. It takes a very mature and well spoken individual to go up against a School Board to fight for what they believe in their hearts is right. Shame on those members of the School Board who used their power on the board as a vendetta against the coach. They should have obstained when asked for their vote, given the personal connection with the team (their daughters either play or have played for Coach Lloyd). And many wonder why people don’t go into Teaching or Coaching as a profession. Because too many self-serving egotists like those on the Suffern School Board are out their just to feed their own egos and pockets, instead of serving what is to the best interests of the Student Body of the Suffern School District. Interesting that AD Bob Buono made the announcement of reinstatement, but when asked for comments on the reinstatement, those members of the school board refused to comment to the press, citing it was a “Personnel Matter” which they were not allowed to discuss. Shame, Shame, Shame

Well that is good that the decision was reversed.

Credit to the supporters of Coach Lloyd.

Credit to Coach Lloyd for showing true character and accepting the position after the initial treatment he received from the board.

and.. credit to the board for realizing their short sightedness and having the decency to re-open this for discussion and reversing the original decision.

    It is a hat trick.

Koala Fan – I don’ think this was a “Hat Trick” – The school board ended up with Egg on their face when the entire Varsity Team along with many many parent and supporters for Coach Lloyd presented information to the board that “apparently” was not looked at when the original decission went down. This was a “POLITICAL DISASTER” which needed to be reversed quickly and swept under the rug or it could have resulted in School Board Members risking not getting voted back into their cushy posiitons. I do give kudos to those members of the school board WHO did not have a “Personal Interest” into the situation for allowing the facts to be presented by the team. But SHAME on those school board members, whose children were directly involved with the team and chose “NO COMMENT DUE TO IT BEING A PERSONNEL MATTER” for no admitting that they were wrong in the first place. This is what is wrong with our world today. Too many EGO’s !!!

    Hallie,

I agree with you 100% (for a change lol). My analogy of a hat trick is that the end result is a good one.

The situation itself never should have happened in my opinion.
