High school softball in the Lower Hudson Valley

Albertus Magnus 11, North Salem 5

June
5

Top-seeded Albertus Magnus defeated fourth-seeded North Salem 11-5 in the Class B semfinal game.

The Falcons scored eight of the 11 runs in the first three innings. They got production up and down the line up and are producing at the right time as they gear up to defend their Class B title against the third-seeded Kennedy.

Rosie Coyne, Erin Flaherty and Maura Power each saw time in the circle today. For Flaherty, it was good to see her back in the circle because her experience is going to be huge for them as they continue on in the post-season.

I give the Tigers a lot of credit for not quitting. They were able to get five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to keep themselves alive. Molly Outhouse had the best day offensively going 2 for 4 with an RBI in that fifth inning.

The Class B final is Saturday at 5:15 p.m.
