Ali Gardiner & Florida beat UCLA

Former John Jay standout Ali Gardiner, who was recently named an all-American, and her Florida teammates have eliminated UCLA from the College World Series with a 2-0 victory. Florida will play Texas A & M Sunday, 1 p.m. on ESPN.

Gardiner went 1 for 3, including a two-out single in the seventh that led to Florida’s insurance run.

Florida is ranked first in the country and UCLA is second.
