Pick'r Off, you make a very good point about coaches and players checking this site prior to playing an opponent. The WWW is all about sharing info. Some of its good and some is bad . IMHO, this site may not always be as exact as we would prefer but it does give the local high school softball junkie a good insight as to what the local players are doing. It's all good!

You know....Rockland Softball asked a question...and Yes now we all know that Tony P. can fix a stat but he's not the go to person.

Pease contact your coach about stats.

And since so many people on this blog seem to think that the stats are totally out of whack, and are only for fun you can ignore them. I really don't think the stats are that out of whack... some are over inflated due to the schedules they play YES, and some stats like Benson's # of inning pitched get left out which then causes the caculations not to work, but on the average, if you know how to read stat and have a general idea about the teams on a schedule this infomation is useful. I know of several players that review the opposing teams stats before a game, but not just OH she's hitting .850 look out for her but looking at the teams and the pitchers that she has batted against. So it would be great if the people that actually enter this data would just take a moment to be sue that what the entered makes sense.

rockland softball... If there is an error, her coach should change her stats, not tony P., he has games to report on. Too many parents hung up on stats. Until there is some sort of official score keeping system implimented I question ALOT of players stats. As far as teams stats go thats another issue. You have to take into consideration a teams strength of schedule. Because of this, a teams won / loss record can be decieving along with their players stats.

Joe B.
True dat.. These stats are fun to look at but mean very little. The best way to know about a player... Go watch them play or ask people that have seen them play. The cream alwsys rises to the top.

PS: Benson's the real deal... I saw her play!

What is the difference than. The other person just asked Tony if he would,if he had the time, come to see her daughter play. And a comment was made isn't Yonkers 0-3. The people who know, know that Krystn is a very good player. Updating stat for one individual. PLEASE. There are many, many kids whoses stats need updating. Numerous posts have been made about scorekeepers not knowing what they are doing. One post even suggested an official scorer at every game. Parents questioning how many hits thier kid gave up. Whether a run was earned or not. Lets just enjoy the season and see who is left standing at the end.

Rockland Softball -

I will add in the 7 innings for the Clarkstown North game. May I suggest that in the future, if Krystn's innings pitched is omitted, just email me directly.
