Over at Albertus Magnus, Pearl River’s offense continues to power through by beating the Falcons 12-2. Krystina Poloni and Kaitlin Dinet each had a two-run home run and Katie Scrima had a solo home run as well. The Pirates, according the latest rankings through April 27 are the 15th ranked team in the state in Class A. The Falcons are No. 10 in the state in Class B.Over in Nanuet, Noelle Lopopolo drove in the lone run for the Golden Knights as Sleepy Hollow won 5-1.Going back to the rankings: Yorktown is number 2 in the state in Class AA; Suffern is no 8. Hen Hud and Tappan Zee are No. 11 and 12 respectively in Class A; Haldane is no. 12 in Class C.To see the entire list you can click here.

Tony Pinciaro, who grew up in Silver Lake and is a 1981 Harrison High School graduate, covered the Westchester/Putnam softball beat for six years for The Journal News. This season, he will switch over and handle the Rockland beat. Tony is married with two children, Elena, 9, and Vincent, 6. When he is not covering softball this season, Tony will be cheering for Elena, who will be playing for the Storm in the Nanuet Little League Triple A softball division.
