High school softball in the Lower Hudson Valley

Something you don’t see everyday…

April
28

Well I clearly do not mean the rain by my headline as it seems we do see that everyday!
What I am referring to is that White Plains’ shortstop Dannie Szabo hit not one but TWO three-run home runs in the same inning in the Tigers’ win over Walton at a tournament in Utica. That’s quite a feat!! She finished the game with eight RBI.
Two home runs in one game is pretty impressive.. but the same inning? I’m thinking that’s got to be some kind of record!
Enjoy the weekend everyone…

i was just wondering if anyone will be writing about class b any time soon. i have much respect for the powerhouses in A and AA but seems the other classes are not getting the same about of coverage

Well remember just how many rainouts there have been, which have cancelled several Class B and C games I was supposed to attend, including North Salem-Westlake. I also wrote about both Westlake and Valhalla in my central Westchester notebook just this past Saturday, both Class B teams. And I covered Pleasantville-Briarcliff today.
Remember with all these rainouts, there are still lots of games left this season.

ok, thanks for clearing that up
