Here’s a look at the results from today and some results from last night:

White Plains 6, New Rochelle 4: At White Plains, Jackie Iglesias went 2 for 4 with a run and two RBI. Taylor Falvey went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI. Alesandra Greco went 3 for 5 with an RBI for New Rochelle.

Nanuet 14, Byram Hills 6: In the first game of the Nanuet tournament, Toni DiPietrantonio and Kelly Slaybaugh each drove in three runs for the Golden Knights. Rebecca Richards went 2 for 4 hand drove in two runs. Guin Mesh and Lindsay Pelinger each drove in two runs for the Bobcats.

Eastchester 2, Ketcham 0: At Ketcham as part of a round-robin Melissa Bisaccia tournament, Anna Crowley went 2 for 3 with a double and a run, and had 12 strikeouts in the complete game win. Kristin Martin and Danielle Rella both went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Brewster 5, Eastchester 3: At Ketcham as part of a round-robin Melissa Bisaccia tournament, Shannon Sommer went 3 for 5 with a triple and an RBI. Deanna Mihalco went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Sammy Chiudina went five innings and earned the win. Tori Milano went 1 or 3 with a double and two RBI for the Eagles.

Pawling 1, Nanuet 0: In the championship game of the Nanuet tournament, Laura Marinello had the only hit of the game for the Golden Knights.

Yorktown 6, John Jay 2: At Yorktown, Nicole Wilson went 2 for 3 with a solo home run for the ’Huskers. Wilson also took the win striking out 11 as well as allowing two earned runs, and a walk. Theresa Swertfager went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for the Indians.

Clarkstown South 7, Suffern 4: At Suffern, Briana Keaveney went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs for the Vikings. Alana Kurtti went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Sam Iodice went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, and had three RBI for the Mounties.

Croton-Harmon 4, Briarcliff 3: At Croton-Harmon, Anna Roberto went 1 for 3 with two RBI. Lanie Oles went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Summer Horowitz went 2 for 4 with two RBI for the Bears.

Clarkstown North 10, Horace Greeley 7: At Horace Greeley, Emilie Cooper was 3 for 3 with a grandslam, a double and six RBI. Erica Ronda went 1 for 3 with two RBI. Lauren Strum struck out six in the complete game win. Victoria Bluemenfeld wen 1 for 4 with two RBI for the Quakers.

Westlake 19, Byram Hills 1: At Westlake Friday, Tina Karaqi went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and five RBI. Sam Lucey went 2 for 4 with three RBI. Nicole Huzer went 1 for 2 with an RBI for the Bobcats.

Dobbs Ferry 2, Yonkers 0: At Yonkers on Friday, Jamie Corredina went 1 for 3 with a solo home run. Bronwyn Bingham was 1 for 3 with a triple and a run. Andrew Abbatiello struck out 10 in a one-hitter. Kayla Burke had the sole hit for the Bulldogs.

Pearl River 3, Tappan Zee 0: At Tappan Zee Friday, Amanda Hartigan went 2 for 3 with a triple and an RBI. Deirdre O’Malley went 1 for 3 wth an RBI and a run. Mandy McCarthy pitched a four-hitter and struck out 12. Dee Sinanaj went 2 for 3 for the Dutchies.

Around the section — Friday edition

Suffern 7, Scarsdale 1: At Scarsdale, Samantha Iodice had a double and two RBI. Winning pitcher Casey Macchia allowed only one hit and walked four. Rachel Halperin had an RBI double to score Greta Bodine for Scarsdale.

Panas 21, Peekskill 0, 5: At Peekskill, pitchers Molly Roche and Natalie Messina allowed no hits and combined for nine strikeouts. Roche also hit for the cycle and went 4 for 4 with three runs and seven RBI.

Valhalla 14, Ardsley 0: At Ardsley, Jade Fumarelli went 3 for 4 with two home runs, three runs, and six RBI. Madeline DeMilio went 3 for 4 with a run, a triple, and two RBI. Aimee Tandoi and Cassidy Wootten each went 1 for 2 for the Panthers.

Poughkeepsie 6, Putnam Valley 1: At Putnam Valley, Amanda Gonzalez went 1 for 3 with an RBI. Jackie Budano went 1 for 4 with a run.

North Rockland 22, East Ramapo 2, 5: At North Rockland, winning pitcher Jackie Selvaggi struck out five and went 2 for 3 with a home run, two runs, and four RBI. Mackenzie Conklin went 1 for 2 with a home run, two runs, and three RBI. Deangie Jimenez went 1 for 2 with a double and two RBI.

Yorktown 6, John Jay 2, 8: At John Jay, Lindsay Fedro had a two-run triple in the eighth inning. Winning pitcher Nicole Wilson went 3 for 3 with a double and struck out 11. Joanna Giordano struck out 13 for the Indians.

Eastchester 15, Lincoln 0, 6: At Eastchester, winning pitcher Anna Crowley went 3 for 3 with three home runs, three runs, seven RBI, and a walk. Taylor DelGatto went 2 for 5 with two runs, a home run, a double, and four RBI. Kevonna Jackson went 1 for 2 for Lincoln.

Ursuline 6, Mamaroneck 1: At Mamaroneck, Brittany Mitchell went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBI. Winning pitcher Elayna Mitrakos struck out five. Jenn Gottfried, who struck out seven for the Tigers, had an RBI single to score Kim Chiapparelli.

Clarkstown North 4, Hen Hud 1: At Hen Hud, Emile Cooper went 3 for 3 with a triple and a run and Jordyn Kaye had two RBI. Hen Hud’s Gabby Caruso had an RBI double to score Julie Gaspar.

White Plains 9, New Rochelle 7, 8: At New Rochelle, Briana Chapman, Tayler Falvey, and Olivia Freeman each had two hits for the Tigers, who scored three runs in the top of the eighth. Danielle Sputo struck out six in the win. Kelly Dillon went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBI for the Huguenots.

Pelham Memorial 16, Tuckahoe 1: At Pelham Memorial, Meghan Reynolds set new Pelham Memorial records in runs (116) and steals (91). She went 1 for 5 with a run. Lisa Franks went 2 for 3 with two runs, three RBI, a walk, and a double. Kaitlin Boyer went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Beacon 7, Horace Greeley 1: At Horace Greeley, Danielle Walkerwicz went 1 for 3 with an RBI. Sara Zandi went 1 for 2 with a run.

Pearl River 5, Nanuet 0: At Nanuet Thursday, Mandy McCarthy pitched a one-hitter — a single by Rebecca Richards — and struck out 10. McCarthy also went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

Carmel 11, John Jay 3: At John Jay Thursday, Brittany Allocca went 3 for 5 with two RBI and two runs. Winning pitcher Samantha Duffy struck out nine. Theresa Swertfager went 2 for 2 and drove in all three John Jay runs.

Yonkers 13, Gorton 8: At Yonkers Thursday, Krisina Rella went 2 for 3 with three RBI, and Nicole Frascati had two RBI. Miasa Hernandez went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Gorton.

Ursuline 15, Mount Vernon 0, 5: At Mount Vernon Thursday, Essence Savinon had a three-run homer and four RBI. Mary McCabe and Jamie Carfora each went 2 for 2 with three runs scored and an RBI. Elayna Mitrakos allowed two hits in five innings.

Mahopac 16, Somers 3: At Somers Thursday, Jacquie Reiser went 4 for 6 with a home run and two RBI. Winning pitcher Lexi Valvano struck out eight. Kristyn Hatley had a triple and three RBI for the Tuskers.

Beacon 6, Hen Hud 3, 8: At Hen Hud Thursday, Amy Glashoff went 3 for 4 with two RBI.

Section 1 in the NCAA division I tournamet

Congratulations to the Section 1 alumni who played Division I softball this season.

As we are smack dabbed in the middle of the regional tournament, if you’d like to keep an eye on Alabama and Cassie Reilly-Boccia as well as LSU and Tammy Wray, along with Notre Dame and Kasey O’Connor — here’s a link to the NCAA website with all the brackets:

Harrison 5, Horace Greeley 1: At Harrison, Christina DiCarlo pitched a four-hitter struck out four, and allowed one earned run and a walk for the Huskies. Allyson Brabant went 2 for 3 and had two RBI. Christina Goodnough had an RBI single to score Julia Keegan in the top of the second inning for the Quakers.
Woodlands 21, Palisade Prep 6, 5: At Palisade Prep, Christine Gargano went 3 for 4 with three runs and four RBI. Jesmy Abraham went 2 for 2 with two runs, two RBI, and two walks. Christyn Brown went 1 for 3 with two runs and a walk for Palisade Prep.
Pelham 7, Saunders 0: At Saunders, Ellen Gardon went 3 for 4 with two RBI and one run. Kelly Keith went 2 for 3 with a double, two RBI and one run and struck out 11 in the complete game shutout win. Amanda Smith went 2 for 2 for the Blue Devils.

Bronxville 16, Roosevelt 1, 5: At Roosevelt, Briana Nardone went 2 for 3 with three runs scored and three RBI in a mercy-rule shortened game. Francesca Lamaruggine went 3 for 4 with four runs scored and two RBI.
Sacred Heart 3, Cardinal Spellman 2: At Sacred Heart, Danielle Raiano scored the eventual winning run when Kristina Campion was walked with the base-loaded in the bottom of the fourth. Campion struck out five in the win. With the victory, Sacred Heart qualifies for the playoffs. Nicole Renner went 1 for 2 with two RBI for the Falcons.
White Plains 5, Mamaroneck 1: At Mamaroneck, Tayler Falvey had a hit and two RBI and Lina Colucci had a hit and an RBI. Danielle Sputo didn’t allow an earned run and struck out seven. Jessica Stingone allowed one earned run on five hits for Mamaroneck.
Dobbs Ferry 10, Nyack 3: At Dobbs Ferry Caitlin Perry went 4 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI, and Bronwyn Bingham went 2 for 4 with a triple and four RBI. Mackenzie Johnson went 2 for 3 with a double and RBI for the Indians.
Sleepy Hollow 21, Hastings 2, 5: At Sleepy Hollow, Sandy Morales went 4 for 4 with three RBI and Sara McCarthy went 3 for 4 with three RBI in a mercy-rule shortened game. Jamie Bucci went 3 for 4 with two RBI. Hastings forfeited game two of the doubleheader.

John Jay 13, Somers 3, 5: At John Jay (late) Wednesday, Kim Dolhon went 2 for 3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run. Joanna Giordano pitched three innings and struck out seven in the win. Marisa Gardineer went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI for the Tuskers.

Rockland softball under the lights

In a highly anticipated second meeting of the regular season, Pearl River and Tappan Zee will be playing under the lights at South Orangetown Little League tomorrow night beginning at 8 p.m.

The last time these two teams played, Pearl River defeated Tappan Zee 1-0 coming down to the bottom of the seventh inning.

It was a great pitching match up last time so, who knows what the second match up could bring.

So if you want to watch some good Rockland softball tomorrow night, make sure you go to South Orangetown Little League beginning at 8 p.m. to see Pearl River and Tappan Zee.

10th annual Amanda Archer-Jodie Torigian Memorial game

Going on right now at New Rochelle High School is the 10th annual Amanda Archer-Jodie Torigian memorial game to raise money for the Amanda Archer-Jodie Torigian softball scholarship.

The scholarship is for two seniors who demonstrated sportsmanship, dedication, leadership and high academic standards.

To contribute to the scholarship make the checks payable to:
